Ceiling Fan Installation in Toronto
A ceiling fan keeps you cool in summer and circulates warm air in winter - but installing one safely requires more than just switching wires. RK Power Electric installs ceiling fans throughout Toronto, including in rooms with no existing fixture wiring.
What to expect
We install ceiling fans in any room, including where there's currently no ceiling box or wiring. We run new wiring from the panel or a nearby circuit, install a proper fan-rated ceiling box (standard light boxes are not rated to support a spinning fan), and install the fan to manufacturer specifications.
For rooms with existing light fixtures, we assess whether the existing box is fan-rated. Most standard light fixture boxes are not - and installing a heavy fan on an underrated box is a safety hazard. We swap the box if needed as part of the installation.
We also wire ceiling fans with separate wall switches for the fan and light, or install a single switch with a remote control kit. Smart ceiling fan controls (compatible with Alexa and Google Home) are also available.
